Increase accuracy and efficiency
Configure, maintain, and re-use organisational data to automatically populate declarations. CAS Master Data helps increase the accuracy and efficiency of your declaration filing by pulling business data from a single, verified source.
How it works
There are several data elements required for customs declarations that are not typically housed in your WMS or ERP system. While information such as organisational structure and customs authorisations is mandatory, other elements including item master data and business partners are optional but could significantly increase the efficiency of your daily operations. CAS Master Data allows you to set these up once, then automatically populates them for transactions across all CAS modules. This limits the amount of transactional data that needs to be sent to CAS, speeding up your declarations process and ensuring end-to-end compliance.
On a daily basis, CAS checks item master data for validity of legal content, for example, commodity codes for different jurisdictions, ensuring compliant, complete, and correct customs declarations.
Customs authorisations can also be set up in Master Data and are integrated with other modules, such as Declarations and Special Procedures, to optimise automation. CAS checks the authorisations required in order to use simplified procedures, Special Procedures, and authorised locations and automatically applies them to the declaration.
