Moguntia currently uses CAS to manage imports into the UK, handling customs declarations with the UK customs authorities and GVMS. This UK import flow represents their first in-house customs operation, with plans to expand to Germany, and eventually Austria as CAS’ country coverage grows.
Moguntia’s teams have always processed transactions with brokers, which has allowed them to develop a strong understanding of customs requirements over time. In addition to the knowledge they have gained, the team is eager to learn and deep-dive into any potential errors that arise. This dedication has contributed significantly to a swift and smooth onboarding process for Moguntia.
“Moguntia probably had the smoothest go-live we have ever had. They have a great team to work with and put a lot of effort in making it happen”, said Lorna Pratt, Project Manager at Customs4trade.
Moguntia went live with UK imports within just two months of the kick-off meeting, proving that bringing customs processes in-house doesn’t have to be overly complex or time-consuming. “The efficient onboarding process is a big positive. We could reach out with any questions at any time. The training and support provided by the C4T team were excellent, enabling us to thoroughly understand the CAS functionality and the processes behind it. The software turned out to be far easier to use than we initially expected. Our commitment, together with the dedication of the C4T team, made this project highly successful, completing it much faster than I ever anticipated,” said Chris Darby, Group Logistics General Manager at Moguntia.
“Working with the Moguntia team was a fantastic experience. They were deeply involved in the project, dedicating significant effort to providing all necessary information, thoroughly testing their shipments in CAS, and eagerly taking ownership after going live. It truly felt like one team working towards a shared goal, and I loved every moment”, said Maria Balosu, Implementation Manager at Customs4trade.
